The Czech Republic is a small country located in the middle of Europe, bordered by Germany to the west, Austria to the south, Slovakia to the east and Poland to the northeast. The Czech Republic´s historical predecessor – Czechoslovakia, was formed on 28 October 1918 following the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire after World War I, and was peacefully dissolved into the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic on 1 January 1993.

The Czech Republic is being referred to as the heart of Europe and includes the historical territories of Bohemia, Moravia, and Czech Silesia.  Castles, chateaux, UNESCO monuments, historical cities and spa resorts are some of the most popular trip destinations in the Czech Republic.  Ancient times are combined with the unadulterated present in many locations. Summer Festivals are full of Czech cuisine, famous Czech beer music and relaxing atmosphere.

Its capital – Prague – is the treasure chest of various historical styles and epochs, which intersect in this beautiful city.  Although all visitors are headed to Prague, it is not the final stop but the beginning for experiencing the Czech Republic – the Land of Stories.
